Hello and a big warm welcome to the Signoholics Forums!

Here are a few tips to help you get posting - ya know we are all very eager to see some of your work!



How to Post - You can reply to a thread by hitting the 'Reply' button within an existing post - this will include a quote to the post you are replying to. If you want to post without the quote simply hit the 'Reply' button to the bottom left of the the post.

Type your message and when you're done - hit the submit button. That's it - done!

Creating a Thread - click the 'New Thread' button at the top of a forum. Don't forget to give your thread a title.

NB - Please ensure that you post in the relevant forums!

Posting images - You can use one of two methods:

• Either paste your images from an online source like photobucket or even your own server if you have a website. BUT please ensure that your pictures are no wider than 600 pixels. Otherwise they will break the board. You can use the little yellow picture icon (with mountains and the sun) and enter the URL of your picture.

or

• Start your thread and on the top tool bar of the posting window (where you write your message) you will see a li'l paperclip icon.

• Click the paperclip and a new attachment upload window will open up. This allows you to browse for files/images on your pc or enter an URL where the images are located.
• When you have browsed your images - click the upload now button. Once your images are uploaded the file names will be listed and you will be shown a 'close this window' button.- close the window and you will be returned to your post. Once you have finished typing any text hit the submit button and your post will be made. You will be directed to your new thread/post and you should see your attachments below any text you have added.

If using the second method then the MAXIMUM size of any image you wish to upload cannot exceed 750 x 1000 pixels. If necessary, please resize your images before uploading. If you do not keep your images within these size rules you will get an error notification.

Posting MP3s and videos direct from your pc (and YouTube/similar sites)

In addition to posting YouTube and similar video hosting site URLs you can now also upload, direct from your pc - video and music files! Just upload them as a regular attachment (using the paper clip icon above the posting window) and the rest is automatic. To post YouTube etc. videos - simply copy the URL. Hit the Media tags icon (big blue 'M') on the tool bar above the posting window then paste the URL in between the tags. Then submit your post.

Navigation Bars - More links to interesting, fun and useful resources, including your User CP (where you can personalize and update your profile and forum preferences), the MemberList and Signoholics Radio which totally rocks!
