Hey Guys yes its me! Your host. I’m still here, but just hanging by a thread, 2009 has been a tuff year for me, my diabetes got worse ultimately spending new years eve (2009) courtesy of Trafford General Hospital.
I moved from the city of Lancaster to be nearer my family, for mutual health reasons and a fresh start after my relationship breaking up and a lonesome period, just me and dog of thoughts and sorrow, amongst other of life’s delights, including a lovely influx of spam cheese and egg sandwiches (Visitors to our boards) here at Signsville just to top the cake!
I was fortunate to meet my fiancée late last October( 3 months after moving from Lancaster and completely gutting my new home, rebuilding the downstairs and then meeting my future wife and moving to her home in Sale, where I originally conceived the Signoholics ideal), some one i should of met years ago, near every turn since 2000 our paths near crossed, from neighbouring shops, knowing the same people, similar professions, Sign Writers and florists, well we both creative! both having family’s from the same towns, both like same things, both been dragged through the gutter, and still smelling of roses - she was a florist lol and I never knew her, yet so close and now we are one! She also 42 years old the same as me and her Birthday the same day as my mums! The similarities truly are uncanny, almost impossible, its a great feeling.
I think what I’m trying to say here is life’s full of surprises and sometimes you just have to go with it, I never thought at 34, (8 years ago) I would become severe diabetic, I would get divorced and breakup again, become bankrupt set up Signoholics, experience few years of extreme health mishaps, be juried and judged and still be here to tell the tale. The one thing that saved me, being my passion for Signoholics and ultimately my future wife Adele! So hang in their guys, old, present and new, lettering artists, and those who follow the design code.
Signoholics is here to stay!
Best wishes to all that have supported me through out.
Pete & Adele
