I use Ducate Double Gold - Schwabacher Premium - Germany
I get it from http://www.artessentialsofnewyork.com/index.html

Burling?.. if you mean an engine turn effect ( like brushed spun circles in the gild)
(or any directional burnishing technice-)
then either will work fine - loose -transfer- single- or double.
the essential thing to to spin it soon after you gold while the size is still soft.

yes mate thats it , you say tomayto,i say tomato ha! no but seriuosly thanks for that wayne, think maybe leaving it a little too long before the initial gild than of course the twisting is left too late.
practice makes perfect & all .
hey mate ya can use them tomatos on them sandwich's ye like making lol !

also yur 1.5 hour size might be too fast... therfore harder ( not having that softness that longer sizes have) try a 3 hour..
