Things are slowing down here in the southern united states.
Cool air is coming down from canada. (thanks canada)
I have some good music playing on the stereo and got to thinking about an old artist and musicologist friend of mine and decided to make him a christmas gift.
He loves anything to do with old western films and he signs his e-mail to me from "Slim Dusty". His close buddies names are Carl and Billy.
This is what I came with.

That's beautiful, Mark. A client ordered a showcard, as a gift, for the cast of Oklahoma at a theatre local to her. I did something very similar but not as lovely as y'all's. ;)

Mr. Fair,
Hats off to you, that IS beautiful. I'll bet the illustration work is even more impressive at a higher resolution. Would you mind explaining your techniques? Is this all computer generated?
I'll bet you did have some fun with this. Amazing use of color and very imaginative.
Thanks for showing us.

Thanks Guys!
I love doing this stuff! Dave,This was created with photoshop, fireworks and gsp composer 6(for vector type. The artwork was swiped off the internet(I will not be mass producing these) I will do one print on a large format inkjet printer.
The wood textures on the lettering was done in photoshop with "styles" and the weathered look was achieved with software called "Machine Wash".
I wish I had the time available to hand paint the piece so I put a few hours into effects and such.(time is money)
I just tweaked it a little more. (can't help myself):)
have a great weekend folks.
