nice clean job Wayne, very neat, thanks for posting
Hi Wayne, Very nice neat job. How long would it take you to write 2 sides of a job like that.
Find hand lettering serif styles a bit tedious. would probley have used a 1 stroke style if i had the choice for secondery copy, but as you say used the customers design.
Thats the problem with having a cutter, makes you very lazy.

Yes guys, as posted earlyer, very neat but i too would pob's use a upright bash - one stroke, possibly with a serif, but if Waynes dooing this stuff all the time maybe thats as fast as our bash styles. If i lettered it, with main copy as it is and a serif bash, the probs take me two hours or so dependent on coverage, if i made supplied painted & lettered the a board, overall time 4 hours & sell for £140- £160 if 2ft x 3ft. I find that most folk find this good value for a nice hand made piece, as most regular foamex vinyl boards seem to be quite competitive, tell me what you think guys
The top bit was their logo-But the script was my own ( and to be fair it goes quicker than you think)- It lends itself nicely to hand letter-and with a good brush is fast enough.- I did a fascia for this shop in the summer and it had to match in a bit.( and smart and fast as casual script would be- it doesnt really lend itself to the image of a smart salon)
2 sides and 2nd coat the magenta copy- about 2 and half hours and sold for £150.
That would be 2.5 hours to write, yea. Plus making the board.
Your a quick writer Wayne but like you say if the paint and brush work well you can bash these things out. Would prob have taken me a bit longer but am a bit out of practice.
Long live the art.
