I'm not sure what the most popular lettering enamel is in the UK. I suppose one of the most used in the States is One Shot. I've used Smith's Cream often enough and mostly liked the way the brush handled when using it. It seamed to me to be more of a flow enhancer than anything else. I'm aware some use it as a blending agent, sort of like a transparent base, when mixing and blending colors.
I've seen mention of flow enhancers in articles here & there. I wonder if anyone has a trick to use with the newer formulas of lettering enamels. When I say newer formulas, I mean since they pulled the lead out and headed toward the more synthetic blends similar to alkyd enamels. Do people use products like Penetrol to solve difficult flow conditions in the UK?
There is an incredible amount we could discuss about paint alone, let alone the additives. What is the favorite lettering enamel in the UK?
