Hey everyone,

I hope ya'll are doing well. I just signed up to this forum as I'm looking to pull back into my artistic side. As a child I was constantly drawing, painting, and ended up going to college as an art major, but turned out with English Literature and did alot of writing, eventually getting published for a local college.

Then I went into web design, and got pretty good at Photoshop, but always wanted to get into a vector program, so I started using Illustrator.

I used to do signs by hand on anything. From walls to butcher paper. Mainly for friends, non-profit organizations, and certain city events. I also did some airbrushing but with the digital age kicking in, I kinda lost the craftsmanship side of me in using just paint and brush.

I came across this forum via a search on Google and seeing the quality work and posts on here, I figured you all were a good bunch, so here I am.

I'm currently living in San Diego, CA where the weather is fantastic, and I look forward to learning and contributing to this community as time goes on. Best wishes to all of you.

Cheers!

David

Thanks Wayne, I've already found alot of inspiration on this site and I'm already looking to get some equipment together to start painting again. We'll see where this leads.

John,

You're right...too much traffic nowadays here man. But the weather is great. I guess that's the trade-off. Thanks for the welcome, and I'll be sure to get to some sign writing when I can break away from my daily routine of work.

Cheers!
