Its beyond me!!! America can send men to the moon but ask one of them to design a paint tin and what do you get?? the most ridiculous contraption ever invented!!! I chuck away more paint than I use (shut up Wayne!! yes I know I should use it more often!!!) drives me round the bend open a tin and a week later all you have is a congealed lump where once was paint!! maybe its a marketing ploy to get you to buy more? *******!!!!!! (insert your own expletive) if I ever get hold of the twit that designed it I shall remove his testicles with a pallete knife and boil them in thinner in front of him!!!!

I lift paint out of the tins into paper cups with a bent spoon. I then close the lis and turn the tin upside down for a second to seal the rim.

Great tip Wayne, will have to give that one a try.
Great tip of yours too James.

The simplest ideas are always the best. Both will save me a fortune in half used cans.
