What you class as a fun quickie is something I'd spend ages on and be extremely proud of.
Good work Mike. Shame you spelled it wrong though. :D

it is a shame CHunkie.....but you know what, the check that I cashed is not a shame, it's a shame that we don't have the queen on our money.....but we took care of that back in the 1770's. Oh, what the heck, we're still allies aren't we? hahahahaha
The vynull on the windows was done with the "hinge" method using 2" masking tape on the top. Then I cut it down the middle so I am not handling the whole thing....Did I mention that it was drizzling rain when I applied the vynull? makes it a bit difficult but I got tough and finished it anyway, because Dave Correll will tell you, at Mike Meyer Signs, Installation is JOB ONE!!!!!!

Hey Mike - America and Britain will always be allies as long as you have the weaponry you have! :D
It's good work there Mate - the raised up lettering really looks good. That's waht would take me ages not the vinyl. I can apply that in my sleep now.

I'm just messing with ya Chunkster...The cut out letters are done on a small scroll saw from a DIY center. It's pretty easy really, if you can follow a line with a brush or a pen, or a pencil, you can cut these letters.
Experiment first of course.
HDU is even better! You can carve and mold it however you please...

You cheeky monkey! :D
I've done something similar with a jigsaw and PVC Foam board but these look thicker - it is multilayerd or just a single sheet?

Chunkster....here is the scroll saw, and this is a "Chunk" of Pink insulation, it comes 8 ft X 4 ft and it's about $13.00 a sheet (7-8pounds of the queens scheckles I reckon) Ya gotta make sure ya coat em out or the birds will peck um ta death....

If it's anything like polystyrene, I'm done for - I can't touch the stuff! :D
What do you coat it with Mike?
How about a 'how to' from start to finish on a letter?
Nice Job- Even thou its vinyl
But there is a HUGE diffence between a vinyl job done by just anyone and a vinyl job done by a SIGNPAINTER!
That really pops Mike
